WORSHIP PASTOR

I grew up on a farm in the small town of Bethlehem, NC. Jesus changed my life during my senior year of high school, and I sensed His call to serve the local church vocationally. I went on to attend Liberty University, where I earned my degree in Biblical Studies in 2010.

While at Liberty, I met the love of my life, Charis, and we were married in 2011. She is an incredible mom to our three kids — Judson, Cannon, and Charli-Jo — and faithfully serves our community as a Nurse Practitioner.

We love Fusion City Church and are grateful for a front-row seat to the way God is moving in people’s lives. There’s nothing better than seeing someone encounter Jesus and be changed forever.

TEACHING PASTOR

I was born and raised in Kannapolis, NC — the same community our church now calls home. I was saved by Christ at an early age and that influence helped shaped my childhood and later formative years. After graduating high school, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where I learned discipline, leadership, and the value of serving something greater than myself. It was following my time in the Marines that I clearly sensed God’s call to ministry.

I went on to attend Liberty University, where I earned my degree in Biblical Studies. During that season, God continued to shape both my calling and my passion for helping people know and follow Jesus.

I have known my amazing wife, Erin, most of my life as she is a Kannapolis native as well.  We began dating after high school and were married in 2001. Together, we have two daughters, Emma and Leah, who keep us busy, but make us incredibly proud.

At Fusion City Church, I serve as the primary communicator for sermons and help lead our efforts in building relationships and partnerships throughout the community. It’s a privilege to serve in the place that helped shape me, and I’m grateful to see God at work in the lives of people right here at home.

EXECUTIVE PASTOR

I grew up in Concord, North Carolina, and trusted Christ at seven years old at my family’s home church, Forestview Baptist Church. From an early age, God gave me a deep love for His Church and for the truth of His Word.

I later studied apologetics at Southern Evangelical Seminary, where my passion for defending the faith and teaching Scripture in its original context was sharpened. I’m committed to helping people see what the biblical authors intended and how those truths shape the church today.

My highest calling, however, is at home. My wife, Marie, and I were married in 2002. She is my closest partner in life and ministry, and we are deeply grateful for our daughter, Melanie, and our son, Chase. Investing in my family comes before every role I hold in the church. That conviction fuels my passion to mentor men to lead well in their homes first and then in the Kingdom.

I now serve as Executive Pastor of Fusion City Church, providing leadership for strategy, staff, systems, and volunteer teams. I care deeply about building structures that don’t just support ministry but drive discipleship, especially through kids’ ministry and Small Groups.
